Last Minute Halloween Costumes

The much anticipated night of fright is almost upon us. It really snuck up on us this year, don't you think? If you haven't had time to put much thought into your Halloween costume, we have some easy-peasy ideas that you can put together in a snap.

The most classic costume in the books is a black cat. Really all you need for this costume is black clothing and cat ears.

To get a vintage look like the one pictured, I'd recommend the Else Base Layer Bodysuit paired with Maison Close Fishnet Stockings and Le Felin Headband

You could get really creative with the idea of being a flower. I like the idea of flower petals to the face or perhaps an intricate floral crown.

I can imagine creating an interesting floral pattern on the face and then wearing something whimsical and romantic that has more of a flower vibe than actually dressing up like a flower. Think of it like flower, but make it fashion. I'd wear the Skin Shani Chemise. It's light and delicate and flows ever so slightly in the breeze. It's slightly transparent, so you could layer to provide texture and visual interest.

When I first saw the Only Hearts Shine On Collection, my first thought was Baton Twirler. This has always been my dream costume and one that I've never done.

Just throw on the Shine On Hot Pant with the matching bra top and you've got a costume! Throw on some boots and grab a baton (or any long cylindrical item you have around the house) and you're ready for a night of fun! If you really want to go above and beyond, a small hat covered in sequins and topped with feathers would knock it out of the park.

I had mentioned in a previous post about how ideal this Halloween is for practicing all the over-the-top makeup looks you've been perfecting during quarantine.

John Galliano's AW2007 Ready to Wear looks, featured in the photo, have long been an obsession of mine. The exaggerated Garbo eyes, the Cupid's Bow lips, the blush that won't quit. I love it! The great part about this costume is that your face tells the whole story. Just wear something basic and neutral so your makeup can shine. I'd opt for something like the Jane PJ set from Underprotection. It's silky smooth and comfortable, but also features lovely scallops that dresses up the collection quite a bit.
