Halloween Inspiration: Greek Goddess
Posted on October 23 2014
You may or may not have done the toga party in college, but Animal House aside, we love the idea of putting the 'class' in classical and going as a Greek goddess this Halloween. This costume is wonderfully ethereal—relatively easy to achieve too. Start with romantic hair: you'll need it long (real or a wig), braided around your head or softly curled and topped with a laurel wreath. In terms of makeup, you'll want to keep that pretty natural, but maybe add some extra shimmery highlights to augment your heavenly glow. For a toga, take a crisp white bed sheet and follow one of the many online tutorials to whip it into a garment (a white gauzy summer dress could work too). Since this might be a bit on the sheer side, make sure you have some solid nude foundation pieces on, like the Absolument Couture Strapless Bra and Cotton Sensation panties. For the finishing touches, add a gold belt, some bronze jewelry (we love the bold, antique look of the Inner Canyon Necklace), and some gladiator-esque sandals like the Beryl or Bali styles. With your beauty, you'll make this holiday a truly divine experience for all the mortals you grace with your presence. Be sure to check out our Halloween Costume Guide and take 25% off items included in the collection with coupon code HALLOWEEN25.
