Les Queues de Sardines
We just received our first shipment of incredible hosiery from the French husband and wife team, M & O, who create under the label "Les Queues de Sardines." Fanciful, irreverent and just a touch morbid, this artistic couple makes truly original tights, taking both heavy opaque styles and sheer nude nylons, then hand screen-printing their own unique designs on them. The end result is very appealing to anyone who seeks out legwear that can stand on it's own (no pun intended) rather than just blending in with your outfit. Utilitarian, it may not be, but it's definitely fun, and in this post-recession climate, that is surely something to celebrate. These are right on-trend with all the unusual leg accessories that designers were showing on the runways for Fall '10 (Did you see Rodarte's embroidered sheer leggings, for example?) Hurry in to Lille to get a pair of your own before we sell out!
