Paris, Je t'aime!

Paris, Je t'aime!
Bonjour from Paris, the most romantic city on earth! I am here on a buying trip for the shop, but I was able to convince my husband to tag along without much trouble, as you can imagine, so we are celebrating the anniversary of his proposal to me at a tiny loft in the Latin Quarter five years ago today. We are fortunate to have sublime weather- 72 and sunny every day. There is something so unique and versatile about the light here that evokes strong emotions in me: the subtle way it seeps in through lace curtains on multi-paned windows or dances down tiny, crooked alleyways, bathing historic buildings in bright, cheery light finds me alternately contemplative or ebullient. One thing is certain: Parisians have great style, and I'm so looking forward to bringing several new French lines to Lille for next season. Stay tuned for more posts with photos from market as I continue on my merry way through France and Italy on what is sure to be the road trip of a lifetime!
