Postpartum Lingerie and Loungewear
Posted on April 09 2014
As a new mother, I can tell you unequivocally that sexy lingerie is not at the top of my 'Go-To' wardrobe list at the moment. But I will say that my loungewear collection is among my prized possessions right now, alongside the Woombie, F & P Swing, and the one blanket that always puts my baby to sleep. I've mentioned before that I was never a huge fan of Pajamas until I discovered Eberjey's comfy take on men's PJs--all the more so now that I need something that buttons down for easy feeding access at 4am! The Organic Cotton button front sleep shirt by Only Hearts is another great option for nursing mothers. I can't bear to wear any of my wool cardigans right now, so their Organic Cotton cardigan is another problem solver. Both mama and baby's sensitivity to fibers means that anything made of organic pima cotton by designer comfort label Skin is my BFF right now. Another warm layering piece that I can't live without is Eberjey's reversible Alpine Chic Classic Robe (hides the spit up stains!) Obviously, I'm living in nursing bras when I do manage to put on real clothes and leave the house, so the adorable Momamia by Elle Macpherson is my favorite fashionable option, with the oh-so-comfy Second Skin Organic Cotton Nursing Bra by Amoralia a close second. The clips on these bras make nursing a lot easier, but you might not realize that you can also wear any wire-free bralette or support cami with a good amount of stretch, like the ones from Only Hearts, Miel and Eberjey. We'll be adding more maternity options to our roster this year, so mamas be sure to let us know your favorites!
