Softer by Meg Peterson

Posted on January 21 2011

We're gearing up for our next First Friday art exhibit, “Softer,” by Meg Peterson. A native of Helena, Montana, Peterson received a BFA in Painting from the Pacific Northwest College of Art in 2005 and has exhibited at Motel and other galleries in the Portland area, where she currently resides. This collection of drawings and collages was inspired by the posture of a laundry pile. It explores the quiet relationships between domestic objects, and also records pieces of her collections: the poster that accompanies her every morning while she drinks her morning coffee, a plant grown from a pocketed cutting, a handful of discarded pencils. Hope to see you all then!
