The Gatsby Photo Shoot: Sneak Preview
Posted on April 30 2009

We scheduled a Gatsby photo shoot for the day after the fashion show, which seemed like a good idea at the time, because I knew the garments would be done and the models would be available, but when the day came, I nearly canceled it for several reasons. For one, I was flat-out exhausted from sewing all month and preparing for the show. To that end, I hadn't put much thought into the logistics of the shoot, so I was running around at the last minute trying to secure a location, confirm with models, find hair and make-up stylists, etc., etc. I woke up that morning and saw cloudy skies, which seemed to be an omen, but I decided to try to make the best of it, and boy am I glad I did! The day proceeded magically, with the clouds parting at crucial moments, locations miraculously becoming available, and everything going right, owing no small part to the phenomenally talented Lisa Warninger, our gracious photographer. She is, by far, the most easy-going artist I've ever worked with, and it really shows in the photos. Here is a sneak preview of a much larger collection, soon to come...
