The Lake and Stars' Hausu Collection
Just in time for Halloween, we received the second installment of the Fall '12 collection by The Lake and Stars, inspired by the 1977 Japanese horror film, Hausu. Equal parts b-movie bloodbath, amateurish schoolgirl fantasy and bizarre 'only in Japan' hijinks, this movie is like nothing you have seen before. There are lots of decapitated floating heads, cartoon cats, psychedelic effects and young girls in white cotton panties. If you haven't seen it, definitely give it a look, and then you'll know how indescribable it is when you try to explain it to your friends. The lingerie, on the other hand, doesn't leave us at a loss for words. Made with all the signature L & S touches: soft cups, long-lines, strappy straps, twill tape closures, removable garter hooks and cutaway details—this is their best collection to date. We're loving the blush/bordeax/black/teal palette, and every style fits like a dream (or a fever dream, to bring it back to the movie inspiration!) These pieces are sure to sell out quickly, and we're not sure when we'll see another full-scale collection from this NY duo, so act fast.
